क्षीणवृत्तेरभिजातस्येव मणेर्ग्रहीतृग्रहणग्राह्येषु तत्स्थतदञ्जनतासमापत्तिः॥
When the modifications (vṛttis) of the mind have become attenuated (kṣīṇa), the mind becomes like a flawless crystal (abhijāta maṇi), taking on the form and color of whatever is placed before it—the knower (grahītṛ), the instrument of knowing (grahaṇa), or the object known (grāhya).
This state is called samāpatti (complete absorption).
