असूयैक पदं मृत्युरतिवादः श्रियो वधः ।
अशुश्रूषा त्वरा श्लाघा विद्यायाः शत्रवस्त्रयः ॥
Seeing faults in virtues is just like death. Speaking harshly or condemning is the killing of Lakshmi. Lack of desire to listen or lack of service, impatience and self-praise - these three are the enemies of learning.
