न शत्रुरङ्कमापन्नो मोक्तव्यो वध्यतां गतः ।
अहताद्धि भयं तस्माज्जायते नचिरादिव ॥
An enemy who has come under control and is capable of being killed should never be released. If one's strength is not much, one should humbly spend time with him, and if he is strong, he should be killed, because if the enemy is not killed, fear soon appears from him.
