विदुर उवाच ।
तमो दमो ब्रह्मवित्त्वं वितानाः पुण्या विवाहाः सततान्न दानम् ।
येष्वेवैते सप्तगुणा भवन्ति सम्यग्वृत्तास्तानि महाकुलानि ॥
Vidur ji said, those who have austerity, sense control, self-study of Vedas, yajna, sacred marriage, always donating food, and good conduct - these seven qualities are present, they are called great clan.
