शय्या शैलशिला गृहं गिरिगुहा वस्त्रं तरुणं त्वचः
सारंगाः सुहृदो ननु क्षितिरुहां वृत्तिः फलैः कमलैः ।।
येषां निर्झरम्बुपानमुचितं रत्येव विद्याङ्गना
मन्ये ते परमेश्वराः शिरसि यैर्बद्धो न सेवांजलिः।।
I consider him as God, who does not bow his head before anyone, who considers the rock of the mountain as his bed, who considers the cave as his home, who considers the barks of trees as his clothes and wild deer as his friends, who calms the fire of generosity with the soft fruits of trees, who drinks water from natural springs and who considers learning as his soul.
