पाणिः पात्रं पवित्रं भ्रमणपरिगतं भैक्ष्यमक्षय्यमन्नं
विस्तीर्णं वस्त्रमाशासुदशकममलं तल्पमस्वल्पमुर्वी।
येषां निःसङ्गताङ्गीकरणपरिणत: स्वात्मसन्तोषिणस्ते
धन्याः संन्यस्तदैन्यव्यतिकरनिकराः कर्मनिर्मूलयन्ति।।
He alone is praiseworthy, he alone is blessed, he alone has cut off the root of dharma – who do not understand the need of any vessel other than their own hands, who go around asking for alms, who consider countries and directions as their wide clothes, who like to live alone, who hate lowliness and who have satisfied themselves in the soul.
