वयमिह परितुष्टा वल्कलैस्त्वं च लक्ष्म्या
सम इह परितोषो निर्विशेषावशेषः।
स तु भवति दरिद्री यस्य तृष्णा विशाला
मनसि च परितुष्टे कोऽर्थवान्को दरिद्रः ।।
We are content to wear the bark of trees; You are satisfied with Lakshmi (Wealth). Our satisfaction is equal to yours, there is no difference. He is poor, who has thirst in his heart. Who is rich and who is poor when there is satisfaction in the mind? That is, for resigned, both the rich and the poor are equal.
