तपस्यन्तः सन्तः किमधिनिवसामः सुरनदीं
गुणोदारान्दारानुत परिचयामः सविनयम्।
पिबामः शास्त्रौघानुतविविधकाव्यामृतरसा
न्न विद्मः किं कुर्मः कतिपयनिमेषायुषि जने।।
We do not understand what we should do in this short life, i.e., we should sit on the banks of the Ganges and do penance, or serve virtuous women with love, or drink the nectar of Vedanta Shastra or drink poetry.
