भ्रातः कष्टमहो महान्स नृपतिः सामन्तचक्रं च
तत्पाश्र्वे तस्य च साऽपि राजपरिषत्ताश्चन्द्रबिम्बाननाः।
उद्रिक्तः स च राजपुत्रनिवहस्ते बन्दिनस्ताः कथाः
सर्वं यस्य वशादगात्स्मृतिपदं कालाय तस्मै नमः।।
Hey brother! How sad! Earlier, what kind of king used to rule here, what was his army, what was the group of his princes, how was his royal assembly, what kind of moon-like women were there, what good story tellers were in his place! The Kaal (Time) under whose control all of them are, who is such a strong, who has made them all dreamlike, I bow to that strong Kaal only.
