अभुक्तयां यस्यां क्षणमपि न यातं नृपशतै-
र्भुवस्तस्या लाभे क इव बहुमानः क्षितिभुजाम्।
तदंशस्याप्यंशे तदवयवलेशेऽपि पतयो
विषादे कर्तव्ये विदधति जडाः प्रत्युत मुदम।।
Hundreds of thousands of kings went to this earth calling it their own, but it did not belong to anyone; Then why do the kings boast of being its masters? It is a matter of sadness, that small kings get puffed up with pride by being the owner of the smallest piece! Fools are happy instead of what should be sad.
