त्वं राजा वयमप्युपासितगुरुप्रज्ञाभिमानोन्नताः
ख्यातस्त्वं विभवैर्यशांसि कवयो दिक्षु प्रतन्वन्ति नः ।
इत्थं मानद नातिदूरमुभयोरप्यावयोरन्तरं यद्यस्मासु
पराङ्मुखोऽसिवयमप्येकान्ततो निःस्पृहाः।।
If you are the king, then we are also bigger by the pride of knowledge learned from the service of the Guru. If you are famous for your wealth and glory, then the poets have spread the fame of our learning all around. O one who defames, there is not much difference between you and us. If you don't look at us, we don't care about you either.
