विपुलहृदयैर्धन्यैः कैश्चिज्जगज्जनितं पुरा
विधृतमपरैर्दत्तं चान्यैर्विजित्य तृणं यथा ।
इह हि भुवनान्यन्ये धीराश्चतुर्दश भुञ्जते
कतिपयपुरस्वाम्ये पुंसां क एष मदज्वरः ।।
There were some big-hearted people who created this world in ancient times; There were some who held this world on their arms; There were some who won the whole earth and then donated it to others considering it as insignificant; And there are others who follow the fourteen Bhuvans. What shall we say about those who, being the owners of a few villages, become intoxicated with the fever of pride?
