वैराग्य शतकम्
आजानन्माहात्म्यं पततु शलभो दीपदहने
स मीनोऽप्यज्ञानाद्वडिशयुतमश्नातु पिशितम् ।
विजानन्तोऽप्येतान्वयमिह विपज्जालजटिलान्
न मुञ्चामः कामानहह गहनो मोहमहिमा ॥
Out of ignorance, the kite falls on the flame of the lamp and is consumed; because it does not know its outcome; Similarly, a fish also loses its life by flesh on a thorn, because she does not know about the destruction of her life. But we do not give up the desire of disaster-oriented subjects even knowingly well. How astonishing is the glory of attachment!
