Subala • Chapter 5 • Shloka 1
स्थानानि स्थानिध्यो यच्छति नाडी तेषां निबन्धनं चक्षुरध्यात्मं द्रष्टव्यमधिभूतमादित्य-स्तत्राधिदैवतं नाडी तेषां निबन्धनं यश्चक्षुषि यो द्रष्टव्ये य आदित्ये यो नाड्यां यः प्राणे यो विज्ञाने य आनन्दे यो हृद्याकाशे य एतस्मिन्सर्वस्मिन्नन्तरे संचरति सोऽयमात्मा तमात्या-नमुपासीताजरममृतमध्यमशोकमनन्तम् ॥
The supreme being assigns places to their owners - the Nadi (veins) is their link. The eye is the owner in the body amidst the elements - what is seen in the divinity - the artery is the link. He that is in the eye, in the sun, artery, vital air, knowledge, bliss, heart’s sky - he that moves inside all these is the self. Meditate on that self that is ageless, deathless, fearless, endless.
