यो ब्रह्माणं विदधाति पूर्वं यो वै वेदांश्च प्रहिणोति तस्मै।
तह देवंआत्मबुद्धिप्रकाशं मुमुक्षुर्वै शरणमहं प्रपद्ये॥
निष्कलं निष्क्रिय शान्तं निरवद्यं निरञ्जनम्।
अमृतस्य पर सेतुं दग्धेन्दनमिवानलम्॥
I, desiring liberation, take refuge in that Divine Being who first brought forth Brahmā and who indeed imparted the Vedas to him; that God who illumines the intellect and reveals the knowledge of the Self.
