स्थूलानि सूक्ष्माणि बहूनि चैव रूपाणि देही स्वगुणैर्वृणोति।
क्रियागुणैरात्मगुणैश्च तेषां संयोगहेतुरपरोऽपि दृष्टः॥
The 'soul' situated in the body, develops subtle, gross and many other forms by its nature in action; He develops them through the Karma-law of his actions and the Karma-law of the 'soul' in man. But there is an 'other' also 'which' we see as 'coincidence' (cause) in which all these get together.
