शार्दूलविक्रीडितनो सत्येन मृगाङ्क एष वदनीभूतो न चेन्दीवर-द्वन्द्वं लोचनतां गतं न कनकैरप्यङ्गयष्टिः कृता ॥
किं त्वेवं कविभिः प्रतारितमनास्तत्त्वं विजानन्नपित्वङ्मांसास्थिमयं वपुर्मृगदृशां मन्दो जनः सेवते ॥
If we are asked the truth without bias, then we have to say that the moon is not the face of a woman, the lotus is not her eyes; Her body is also of bone and flesh like all living beings. Even knowing this, being deluded by the false sayings of the poets, we remain attached to women and consume them.
