कुत्र अनृतेऽपि अपापम्? यच्चोक्तं धर्मरक्षार्थम् । को धर्मः? अभिमतो यः शिष्टानां निजकुलीनानाम् ।
On what occasions, is even a lie sinless?
That which is uttered for the sake of protecting righteousness.
What is righteousness?
That which has been practised by the virtuous elders of the family.
