किं स्मर्तव्यं पुरुषैः? हरिनाम सदा, न यावनी भाषा । को हि न वाच्यः सुधिया? परदोषश्व अनृतं तद्वत् ।
What is to be remembered by people?
Always the Name of Hari; not the jargon of the unregenerate.
What should not be spoken by the good-minded (person)?
The faults of others; and, similarly, falsehood.
