पत्रं नैव यदा करीर विटपे दोषो वसन्तस्य किंनोलुकोऽप्यव्लोकते यदि दिवा सूरस्य किं दूषणम् ।
धारा नैव पतन्ति चातकमुखे मेघस्य किं दूषणम्यत्पूर्वं विधिना ललाटलिखितं तत् मार्जितुः कः क्षमः ।।
If the leaves do not grow in the Karil tree (Capparis decidua), then what is the fault of spring in it? If the owl does not understand during the day, then what is the fault of the sun in this? If the stream of water does not fall in the mouth of the sinner, then what is the fault of the cloud? No one can erase whatever the creator has written in the fate.
