Mandukya • Chapter 1 • Shloka 11
सुषुप्तस्थानः प्राज्ञो मकारस्तृतीया मात्रा मितेरपीतेर्वा मिनोति ह वा इदं सर्वमपीतिश्च भवति य एवं वेद ॥
Prājña, whose sphere is deep sleep, is M (M-kāra), the third measure of Om.
Because it is the measure (miti) of all, or because in it all things become absorbed (apīti), it is identified with the letter M>.
One who knows this comprehends all this, and becomes the ground into which all things are absorbed.
