देहश्शोत्तिष्ठते तेन किंचिज्ज्ञानाद्विमुक्तता। रेचकं पूरकं मुक्त्वा कुम्भकं नित्यमभ्यसेत् ॥
He attains to emancipation as a result of acquiring knowledge through Pranayama so exercised. Having mastery obtained on the process of inhale and exhale one should pay emphasis particularly on the process of withholding the inhaled air (kumbhaka).
