अन्तःस्थं मां परित्यज्य बहिष्ठं यस्तु सेवते । हस्तस्थं पिण्डमुत्सृज्य लिहेत्कूर्परमात्मनः ॥
One who abandons Me, who dwell within, and seeks only what is external,
is like a person who throws away the food already in his hand and then licks his own elbow in search of nourishment.
