आत्मतीर्थं समुत्सृज्य बहिस्तीर्थानि यो व्रजेत्। करस्थं स महारत्नं त्यक्त्वा काचं विमार्गते ॥
One who abandons the Ātma-tīrtha (the sacred pilgrimage within the Self) and seeks external places of pilgrimage, is like a person who throws away a great jewel already held in his hand and goes searching for a piece of glass.
