इडा तु सव्यनासान्तं संस्थिता मुनिपुङ्गव। यशस्विनी च वामस्य पादाङ्गुष्ठान्तमिष्यते ॥ बामाक्षिपर्यन्ता पिङ्गलायास्तु पृष्ठतः। पयस्विनी च चाप्यस्य कर्णान्तं प्रोच्यते बुधैः ॥
O foremost of sages, Iḍā extends to the left nostril.
Yaśasvinī is said to reach as far as the great toe of the left foot.
Behind Piṅgalā is Gāndhārī, which extends to the left eye.
The wise declare that Payasvinī reaches as far as the right ear.
