यदृच्छालाभतो नित्यं प्रीतिर्या जायते नृणाम्। तत्संतोषं विदुः प्राज्ञाः परिज्ञानैकतत्पराः ॥
The joy that arises in a person from being content with whatever comes of its own accord at all times—
this the wise, who are devoted solely to true knowledge, know as contentment (Santoṣa).
