उपकर्ताधिकारस्थः स्वापराधं न मन्यते ।
उपकारं ध्वजीकृत्य सर्वमेव विलुम्पति ॥
A benefactor (one who has done a service) when appointed to an office is regardless of his own offence and putting forward his obligation will appropriate the whole thing.
