यावद्वित्तोपार्जनसक्त:, तावन्निजपरिवारो रक्तः।
पश्चाज्जीवति जर्जरदेहे, वार्तां कोऽपि न पृच्छति गेहे॥
As long as one is fit and capable to earn money, everyone in the family show affection, respect towards him. But afterwards, when his body becomes weak, he turns old, no one cares, inquiries about him. No one feels the need to consult him. Even the servants ignore him.
