अष्टावक्र उवाच -
कृताकृते च द्वन्द्वानि कदा शान्तानि कस्य वा।
एवं ज्ञात्वेह निर्वेदाद् भव त्यागपरोऽव्रती॥
Aṣṭāvakra said:
When, and for whom, have the dualities of action and inaction, of what is done and what is left undone, ever come to an end?
Understanding this, become dispassionate toward the world.
Be devoted to renunciation, free from all compulsive observances and ritualistic preoccupations.
