Ashtavakra Gita • Chapter 18 • Shloka 94
सुप्तोऽपि न सुषुप्तौ च स्वप्नेऽपि शयितो न च।
जागरेऽपि न जागर्ति धीरस्तृप्तः पदे पदे॥
Though asleep, he is not in deep sleep.
Though dreaming, he is not truly asleep.
Though awake, he is not awake in the ordinary sense.
The wise one, fulfilled in every moment,
transcends all the states of waking, dreaming, and deep sleep.
