श्रोत्रियं देवतां तीर्थम-ङ्गनां भूपतिं प्रियं।
दृष्ट्वा संपूज्य धीरस्य न कापि हृदि वासना॥
Upon seeing a learned sage, a deity, a sacred place, a beautiful woman, a king, or a beloved person,
the wise one may show due respect and honor.
Yet no Vāsanā (latent desire, attachment, or craving) arises in his heart.
