नासिकापुटमङ्गुल्या पिधायैकेन मारुतम् ।
आकृष्य धारयेदग्निं शब्दमेवाभिचिन्तयेत् ॥
closing the nostril with the thumb, one should inspire through the other nostril and retain breath inside and preserve the Agni (fire). Then he should think of the sound (Om) alone.
