स इमांल्लोकानसृजत - - अम्भो मरीचीर्ममापोऽम्भः परेण दिवं द्यौः प्रतिष्ठाऽन्तरिक्षं मरीचयः॥
पृथिवी मरो या अधस्तात्ता आपः ॥
He created these worlds:
Ambhas, Marīci, Mara, and Āpaḥ.
Ambhas is the world beyond heaven; heaven forms its support.
Marīci is the region of the rays—the intermediate space (Antarikṣa).
Mara is the earthly world, the realm of mortals.
Āpaḥ are the waters that lie below the earth.
