Advayataraka • Chapter 1 • Shloka 11
तारकयोगसिद्धिःतारकयोगस्य सोमसृर्यैक्यदर्शनैकफलकत्वं ।
अक्ष्यन्तस्तारयोः चन्द्रसूर्यप्रतिफलनं भवति ।
तारकाभ्यां सूर्यचन्द्रमण्डलदर्शनं ब्रह्माण्डमिव
पिण्डाण्डशिरोमध्यस्थाकाशे रवीन्दुमण्डलद्वितयमस्तीति निश्चित्य तारकाभ्यां तद्दर्शनं ।
अत्राप्युभयैक्यदृष्ट्या मनोयुक्तं ध्यायेत् तद्योगाभावे इन्द्रयप्रवृत्तेरनवकाशात् ।
तस्मातन्तदृष्ट्या तारक एवानुसंधेयः ॥
We see the sun and moon by our täraka (cornea). As we see the sun and moon in this universe (Brahmanda), we should in the similar fashion, always observe the sun and moon under presumption, in the middle of our head in the form of universe and considering them of the same form, ponder upon them with concentration because all sensory organs start engrossing in luxuries if such is not presumed. It is, therefore, necessary for a devotee that he should develop a trend to research regularly the Taraka through his intuition.
