(ततः प्रविङति मृगानुसारी सशरचापहस्तो राजा रथेन सूतश्च)
सूतः- (राजानं मृगं चावलोक्य) आयुष्मन्,
कृष्णसारे ददच्चक्षुस्त्वयि चाधिज्यकार्मुके । मृगानुसारिणं साक्षात् पश्यामीव पिनाकिनम् । ।
(Thereafter, the King and the charioteer enter seated on a chariot, pursuing the deer, with a drawn bow in hand)
Charioteer—
(Looking at the King and the deer) Long-lived one, beholding you (King Dushyanta), armed with a bow whose string is drawn, pursuing the black antelope, (I) seem to behold Lord Shiva Himself, the divine archer, chasing a deer.
