If such grace of form (loveliness), rare even in the royal inner apartments (women’s palace), belongs to persons dwelling in a hermitage, then surely the creepers of cultivated gardens have been surpassed (defeated in beauty and qualities) by the forest vines (that is, the wild creepers have outshone the garden creepers through their natural qualities).”
