King Janaka said: One whose mind is naturally empty and free from mental constructions, but who through inadvertence still entertains notions of things, is like a person who, though awakened from sleep, retains only faint and fading memories of it.

Where are wealth and possessions? Where are friends? Where are the thieves called sense-objects? Where are the scriptures, and where is knowledge itself, now that all craving has melted away from me?

Having realized the Witness-Self, the Supreme Self (Paramātman), and the Lord (Īśvara), I have no concern for either bondage or liberation, nor any anxiety about attaining freedom.

One who is inwardly free from all mental distinctions, yet outwardly moves about spontaneously and without constraint, may appear to pass through various states like a bewildered person. Only those who are of the same realization truly understand his condition.
