In Janaki Mangal, Goswami Tulsidas has described the auspicious wedding celebrations of Adyashakti Bhagwati Sri Janaki and Purushottam Bhagwan Shri Ram in very sweet words.
Starting with the preparations for the Swayamvar in Janakpur, Vishwamitra going to Ayodhya and bringing Shri Ram and Lakshman with him for the protection of the yagya, taking them to Janakpur on the pretext of showing the Dhanush Yagya after the protection of the yagya, Shri Ram breaking the bow after arriving at the Rang-Bhoomi and Sita putting the garland on him, Janak Purodha Maharshi Shatanand ji going to Ayodhya with the marriage invitation and Tilak material, Maharaj Dashrath going to Janakpur with the wedding procession, the departure of the procession after the marriage ceremony is completed, meeting Parshuram ji on the way and finally the celebrations on reaching Ayodhya, etc., all these incidents have been described in a very interesting and lively manner in a brief manner; which is almost similar to Ramcharitmanas. At some places the words of Ramacharitmanas have been repeated verbatim.
